This class is to investigate
the convergence of cultral and aesthetic form in technology and
science. We study the relationships between philosophy and representation,
art and design, mathematics and computing, interface and interaction.
In the class, we are trying to find out how technological and scientific
theories are related to aesthetics. Furthermore, we will focus on
transdisciplinary research beyond multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary
studies. While the class is based on a anthological text book, we
will expand the content following each researcher's interest using
footnotes and bibliographies.
