Media aesthetics is to understand new media
developments historically, and to explore the roles of new media in a
globally networked society. We examine the social, political and economical
influences of new technologies in creativity, industry and culture based on
our interdisciplinary perspectives, the convergence of art and technology.
We can approach new media not only with aesthetic issues of philosophy of
art, but also with multilateral aspects of our culture and society. Here
aesthetics would work as a considerable method to relate our current
problems and responses on them, and be expanded as a linkage between our
metaphysical thoughts and real world.
